An interim government in Bangladesh is set to be formed following the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on 5 August 2024 due to student protests against the government. The President of Bangladesh, Mohammed Shahabuddin, confirmed that an interim government would be formed as soon as possible.[1][2][3][4] Following the dissolution of parliament, the interim government will remain in office until the holding of snap parliamentary elections.
