The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are an annual American awards ceremony. They will be held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 10, 2024; and will honor the best music videos, artists, and songs released between June 22, 2023, and June 20, 2024.[1][2]

Taylor Swift was the most nominated artist with a total of ten, including eight nominations for her collaboration with Post Malone on the single "Fortnight".[3][4][5]

The first round of nominees were announced on August 6, 2024. Taylor Swift led with ten, followed by Post Malone with nine, and Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and Eminem, who had six nominations each, and Megan Thee Stallion and SZA, who had five apiece.[1][2]

Voted categories

The first round of voting known as the "General Voting Period" began on August 6, 2024 for fifteen categories and will conclude on August 30, except for Best New Artist, which will remain open into the show itself.
