The 2024 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, also known as the 23rd Meeting of the Council of the Heads of Government, is being held in Islamabad, Pakistan, from 15 to 16 October 2024. This summit marks a significant diplomatic event for Pakistan, as it hosts leaders from various member states.[1][2][3]

Agenda

The agenda of the summit focuses on enhancing regional cooperation in various fields including economy, trade, environment, and socio-cultural ties. Important discussions are expected on regional security, economic cooperation, and combating terrorism.[8][9] Leaders will also review the performance of the SCO and take key organizational decisions to further enhance cooperation among member countries.[10]
