General elections are scheduled to take place in Bolivia on 17 August 2025. Voters will elect the President of Bolivia and Vice President of Bolivia, 130 members of the Chamber of Deputies, and 36 members of the Chamber of Senators.
Background
[edit]Right-leaning political parties formed a Unity Bloc to oppose incumbent president Luis Arce. Candidates from the bloc included Samuel Doria Medina and Jorge "Tuto" Quiroga.
Former Bolivian president Evo Morales announced his intention to run under the Front for Victory (FPV) partisan affiliation despite his candidacy ban by the Plurinational Constitutional Tribunal.[1]
