The 2nd Ikon Awards ceremony, presented by the Sauti Plus Hub,[2] will honor Ugandan films released from 2022 and 2023, and will take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel in Kampala, Uganda, on March 23, 2024.[3] Polly Kamukama's Unheard received 12 nominations making it the most nominated followed by The Passenger and The Kitara Chronicles. Unheard won 6 Awards followed by the Passenger with 4 and Kitara Chronicles with 2 Awards[4][5]

The nominations were announced by actors John Ssegawa and Rachael Nduhukire on January 26, 2024 while the award gala happened on the 23 March 2024 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.[6][7][8][9][10]
