Dr. A.V. Anoop[4] (born 30 April 1962), Managing Director, AVA Group of Companies[5] is an entrepreneur par excellence having interest in reaching consumers world-over with diverse products and services having excellent quality. Being a part of the successful journey of World’s largest selling Ayurvedic Bath Soap “Medimix[6]”, for 41 years has gained immense knowledge in Soap manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals and Food Industry.

One of the most popular household Kerala brands in spices and condiments for three decades “Melam” has been acquired since 2015. The focus is to market quality products, pan India and in the international market. “Melam[7]” range of products includes spices, masalas, breakfast products, pickles & desserts.

The passion towards art has resulted in producing movies under the banner of AVA Productions[8] feature films, documentaries & short films. Apart from a successful producer, he is also an actor who has acted in movies which includes Indian regional languages of Malayalam & Tamil apart from Hollywood movies. Being a stage artist with dedicated efforts in staging drama on various subjects had an overwhelming support from a wide diaspora of Kerala population settled in Tamilnadu.

As an Author, he recently penned a book named “You Turn”[9][10], a memoir Published by DC Book. The foreword for the book has been written by Dr. Shashi Tharoor and was officially released at the Sharjah International Book Festival on 5th November 2023.

In 2023 he has been appointed as the Chairman of India Eurasia Trade Council[11] by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to India.

Personal life[edit]

A. V. Anoop is the son of A. G. Vasavan and Lilly Bai. He had his schooling with St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram and graduated in commerce from Mahatma Gandhi College, Thiruvananthapuram. He stays at Chennai with his family.[23]
