Adya Prasad Pandey is an Indian economist who has been Vice Chancellor of Manipur University.[1]

Pandey is a graduate of Banaras Hindu University Varanasi, with BSc, MBA and MA degrees from the institution. He started his teaching career at the same university in 1979,[2] and was employed as a professor of economics there.[3]

He was appointed Vice Chancellor of Manipur University in 2016.[1] Following allegations of irregularities in his administration, which led to student protests and the resignation of all department heads and deans at the university in 2018,[4] he was suspended and subsequently dismissed from the position in 2020.[5]
