Agustín Remiro

Agustín Remiro (August 28, 1904 – June 21, 1942) was a Spanish anarchist and military leader.

Born into a peasant family, he became an anarchist at age fifteen and joined the CNT. He did two years of military service in Morocco and held the first civil wedding in his town. He fought in the Spanish Civil War, and after the war, he was arrested in Portugal and imprisoned in Madrid. He tried to escape but was shot while doing so.[1]
