Aiwa Village

Aiwa is a Motu and a place in the center of the Tabiteuea atoll in the Gilbert Islands of the island state Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean.[1] It belongs to the district North Tabiteuea. In 2017, the place had approx. 125 inhabitants.[citation needed]

Geography[edit]

Aiwa is located at the southern end of "North Tabiteuea" in an area with numerous unnamed motu. The nearest town in the north is Bangai, in the southeast Tewai in South Tabiteuea is the nearest town about 12 km away.[2] In the village there is a traditional Assembly house: Aiwa Maneaba.[citation needed]
