Arvin Amatorio is a Filipino-American attorney and politician, currently serving his second term as the mayor of Bergenfield, New Jersey.[1][2][3][4][5]

Early life and education

Arvin Amatorio was born and raised in Baler, Aurora, Philippines. He pursued his higher education in Manila, where he obtained a degree in economics before earning a Juris Doctor degree.[6][7] Currently, he is enrolled at Harvard University, pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts in International Relations.

Career

While still in the Philippines, Amatorio worked at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in 1996. After immigrating to the United States in 2002, he received his license in 2006 to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.[4]

From 2006 to 2019, he practiced immigration law in Bergenfield, New Jersey.[4]

Political career

Amatorio has previously held positions as a two-term councilman and council president.[8][9] He is Bergenfield's second Filipino mayor.[10]
