Battle of Madarpur was fought between a small army of brothers Maharaja Kam Dev Misir, Dhām Dév Singh and Vikram Pratap Dev Singh and Babur's Mughal commander Mir Baqi in 1528. The Mughals defeated and massacred the opposition; the survivors migrated to other places in present-day Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Rao Kam Dev Singh Misra died in Reotipur while Dham Dev shifted to Gahmar, rest of the clan migrated to Bihar.[1]
