CT Group Corporation (Vietnamese: Tập Đoàn CT Group), also known as CT Group, is a Vietnamese multi-sector corporation. Founded in 1992,[2] CT Group has 62 member companies present in 12 countries around the world.[3][4][5]

The corporation operates in various sectors such as real estate, construction, finance, retail, and ecotourism.[6] Among these, the most prominent is the real estate sector, where CT Group acts as the investor for major projects such as the Metro Star residential and commercial complex,[7] Léman Luxury Apartments,[6] CT Plaza Nguyen Hong,[8] and Léman Cap Residence.[9]

CT Group received the First-class Labor Order for the corporate collective[1][10][11] and the Second-class Labor Order for Mr. Trần Kim Chung, Chairman of the Group.[12][13] Additionally, C.T Group was recognized by The Wall Street Journal as the "Claw of the Vietnamese Dragon."[14][15]

History[edit]

C.T Group, formerly known as Saigon Trading Company, was founded in 1992 with Mr. Trần Kim Chung as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.[16][17] In 1993, Saigon Trading Co., Ltd. was renamed C&T Trading and Services Co., Ltd. Additionally, Him Lam Co., Ltd. was established.[18][19]

In 2005, Metro Star Investment Joint Stock Company was established to manage the Metro Star project, which was transferred from Cong Chanh Company.[20] In 2006, it was renamed CT Group - a multi-industry conglomerate and a comprehensive urban developer.[18] In 2007, C.T Group was recognized by the American magazine “The Wall Street Journal” as “The Claw of the Vietnamese Dragon.”[14] In 2008, CT Land Real Estate Company was established.[21]

At the end of 2017, the group launched the SS1 Mega Mall multifunctional commercial center, covering 8 hectares near Tan Son Nhat Airport with a total investment of up to 200 million USD.[22] However, this project was later suspended as the land was prioritized for infrastructure development purposes by Ho Chi Minh City.[22]

On June 19, 2022, in Tel Aviv, CT Group inaugurated its representative office in Israel to connect and promote cooperation with the Israeli market.[23][24][25]

At the 30th anniversary celebration held on June 29, 2022, CT Group received the First Class Labor Medal for the corporate entity[1][10] and the Second Class Labor Medal for Mr. Trần Kim Chung, the Chairman of the Group.[12] In August 2022, CT Group was honored as the "Best Workplace in Asia 2022" by HR Asia.[26] This was the second time CT Group received this award, and it was also the first time the Group surpassed over 600 other enterprises in Vietnam to achieve the highest score: 4.68/5 points (equivalent to 94%).[26]

In July 2022, Metro Star received the award for the Best Architectural Design of a Mixed-Use Project in Vietnam 2022, given by Dot Property Vietnam Awards 2022, on July 28.[27][28] On October 13, 2022, at the Vietnam Green Building Week 2022, CT Group received a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Construction for its contributions to the construction and development of green buildings in Vietnam.[29]

In June 2023, CT Group was recognized in two major categories: Top Science & Technology and Innovation Enterprise, and Top Enterprise with Smart Digital Products and Industry 4.0 Technology Solutions at the “Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam - 4.0 Awards” ceremony.[30][31]. At the end of September 2023, CT Group announced the establishment of the ASEAN Carbon Credit Trading Platform Joint Stock Company (CCTPA). This is the first carbon credit trading platform launched in Vietnam.[32][33][34]
