This needs some major work - lots and lots of famous and historical brand names are missing. Leaning towards the USA rather than Europe - which is home to many of the very old and historical brand namesCosmopolitancats 17:26, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think a lot of brands are not assigned to this category. I propose to have a systematic approach:
  1. Build a list of brands by alphabetical order from various providers in the world
  2. Sort the list between: Already in the category/Should join Art materials brand category/Article Needed/Minor Brand/Not Art Material brand.

Before actually assigning the pages, we need to check how much the category would grow or if a subcategorization is needed. I could not find an active project for that process but I would be happy to join one if it is a better way to get forward --Anneyh (talk) 13:47, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed pages may not link to art supplier, please be bold and correct any mistake.
