Category talk:Articles linked to by QRpedia

Category name is not consistent with location of category tag[edit]

Given that this is a category for Articles linked to by QRpedia, why are the talk pages categorised but not the article page? Or should the category be renamed to "Talk pages of articles linked to by QRpedia" - because that's what it appears to be. Mitch Ames (talk) 06:35, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an administrative category rather than a content category, as it groups articles by status (linked to by QR-code) rather than content. Per WP:PROJCATS, "article pages should be kept out of administrative categories if possible. For example, the templates that generate WikiProject and assessment categories should be placed on talk pages, not on the articles themselves." As for the name, there are many categories with "article" in the name which have talk pages listed instead, eg the subcategories of Category:Articles by quality, so I don't see why it would be problem here. - Evad37 (talk) 16:33, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
