Novosibirsk, a city in Asian Russia (in the oblast of the same name in the Siberian Federal District to be more precise), will be the sole host of 2023 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships Top Division tournament. Whether that upcoming ice hockey tournament should be included in the "Asian youth sports competitions" is interesting because the same sporting competition is already included in the category "2022-23 in Russian ice hockey" (itself included within the category "2022–23 in Asian ice hockey by country" within the categories "2022–23 in Asian ice hockey" and "Seasons in Asian ice hockey by country").
