Introducing New Category[edit]

At the Commonwealth level, and at each Australian state level there are natural, cultural and/or historical heritage laws, regulations, and regimes .. all with a history, all of significant to the future preservation, protection, promotion and transmission of the nation's heritage into the future.

I myself, familiar primarily with Commonwealth level, and Queensland state level heritage laws & regimes, have initiated this category .. in anticipation of:

i. collecting together a small number of existing articles about Australian heritage laws (such as Australian National Heritage List, to make it easier to overview and identify gaps in coverage of Australia's heritage law/ regimes

i. creating a small series of articles covering Australian heritage laws/regimes not already covered, particularly for each of Australia's states

ii. ultimately creating/growing, an dfilling proposed overarching 'main' article overviewing and linking to the whole of Australia heritage laws/regime/registers/lists/management plans etc

Hope other's agree with the motive for creating this category, and even assist with the objects .. all of which will be tagged as falling within the scope of Wikiproject Australia
