The BP Portrait Award is a highly prestigious award organised by the National Portrait Gallery (London), so anyone who's won one is pretty notable for Wikipedia purposes. I think there should probably also be a category for people chosen for exhibition at the NPG who didn't actually win, I think that'd make a good general, "verifiable" list of current portrait artists that the NPG considers notable. But getting pages written for the artists who had a work that was selected by the NPG as the best that year is probably the immediate priority. ErkDemon (talk) 13:29, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
