At the moment the categories covering the individual years of the Bavarian International Tennis Championships are all entitled in the form of year then "BMW Open" eg Category:1974 BMW Open, Category:1979 BMW Open and Category:1986 BMW Open. The issue with this is the tournament was not known as the BMW Open until 1990 and the main articles for years prior to that are (correctly in my view) down under the name of the tournament at the time eg 1979 Romika Cup and 1986 Bavarian Tennis Championships. The categories even state the wrong name for the main article eg "The main article for this category is 1974 BMW Open" - when the main article is actually 1974 Bavarian Tennis Championships - 1974 BMW Open being a redirect. I wonder therefore if there is a case for arguing that these categories should be renamed to reflect the name of the tournament at the time (eg we would have "Category:1974 Bavarian Tennis Championships" and "Category:1979 Romika Cup"). I would welcome other editors' opinions on this issue.
