Most botanists who are even slightly notable for their taxonomy or collecting, are given author abbreviations. A list of botanists who do NOT have author abbreviations would be extremely short. I feel that creating this category is about as helpful as a category of botanists who have used a plant press. Paul venter 11:09, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The entry “Pages in category botanists with author abbreviations" lists 26 (twenty-six) names starting with the letter “A”; Clicking the letter A at the alphabetic contents bar retrieves 3 (three) names.Tusbra (talk) 14:23, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
