Category:Political office-holders in the United Kingdom[edit]

I have just added Category:Political office-holders in the United Kingdom as a parent category.

This is imperfect in two ways:

Colonial governors don't actually serve in the UK
Some of the posts concerned may predate the foundation of the UK in 1801.

But despite those niggles, I think it still makes more sense to use this parent category than not to use it. The overwhelming majority of the office-holders classified under this category were in office after 1801, and the political authority for the colinial adninistration came from the UK.

So please don't remove Category:Political office-holders in the United Kingdom unless you can come up with a better solution! Thanks —BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 21:25, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
