[edit]

I've been working on taking a lot of things out of the page that don't belong there and putting them on this page. These are various species of toad that belong to the family Bufonidae, but belong to genera other than Bufo. They include articles title with binomial names and with common names, both.

I can sort of see why they're there. Some article for the genera note that the species in this genus or that were formerly included in the genus Bufo. And the species articles give Bufo as a synonym. But I still feel they ought not to go under Bufo.

There are a lot of them in a few genera. So it would be good if there were category pages for those genera.

IF SOMEONE WOULD CREATE THE PAGES (I CANNOT), I'D BE HAPPY TO TRANSFER THE ARTICLES (I've done lots and lots of that).

The most important, in terms of number of species would be: Chaunas with 37 species or more Then there would be: Amietophrynus with 27 species of more Cranopsis with 18 species or more One might also do: Mertensophryne with 8 species or more Ingerophrynus with 6 species or more 140.147.236.195 (talk) 17:16, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza[reply]

Oh, yeah! Those categories should be subcategories of this one (Bufonidae), in case that's not obvious. 140.147.236.195 (talk) 19:21, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza[reply]
OK, I've set myself up as an official Wikipedia User, and I'm fulfilling my own requests. This category will soon have next to no single articles in it--only subcategories (although several of the subcategories don't need to be there). Uporządnicki (talk) 00:39, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
