Should creators of download sites be added?

Shouldn't people who started downloading sites (oink, piratebay and so on) and people who are members of the pirate party be in this category too? //moralist 14:47, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Activism is usually considered to be political action. Members of the Pirate party, because it advances political positions, would be appropriate, I think. I don't know enough about the people who started downloading sites -- oink, piratebay, etc. -- to say whether they did it as a form of activism out of a principled disagreement with the current state of copyright law, or whether they did it to make money (which is what I had always assumed). If the latter, then I think they would form a poor fit with the rest of the folks in the "Category:Activists" tree. --Lquilter (talk) 15:18, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
