  • Expand "Glacier View Controversy" section, to include more background, history, theological issues, and details of the Glacier View meeting itself
  • Add to "Adventist Responses to Criticisms" section, ideally with material from Adventist scholars etc.

Category organization[edit]

I see this category as functioning largely as a "Seventh-day Adventist Church by region" category, but includes other General Conference organizations as well. Perhaps we could split it at some stage.

In regards to the Adventist church by region, the 13 worldwide "Divisions" of the church do not stick to continental borders (see Category:Christianity by continent). For example, Category:Christianity in Asia would include 6 Divisions of the church, and even then some of these are only partly be in Asia, and partly in other continents. Hence I have created some intermediate categories such as Category:Seventh-day Adventist Church in Europe. This is to clean up the structure somewhat, and not flood the general Christian categories with up to 4 Adventist articles when only one appearance is logical.

"Category:Seventh-day Adventist Church in Europe" contains the Divisions which are partly in Europe. I suggest that we go to the next level down – "Union"s, and populate these intermediate categories with Unions, or even go down to Conferences if this is not enough to distinguish between continental boundaries.

Of course, input from other contributors is welcome – just be bold! Colin MacLaurin 07:59, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have not created separate categories for regions of the church when there are only 2 Adventist articles within an existing Christianity by area category – these are the Americas and Oceania. Colin MacLaurin 11:07, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removal from category[edit]

The article was recently removed from Category:Christianity by region in a well meaning edit. Actually this category is intended as an "Adventism by region" category - the official church structure has been used in the naming of categories and articles. No one else has given input on this page. Colin MacLaurin (talk) 05:26, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was just removed from that category again, and from Category:Christian group structuring. Either these need to stay, or possibly the title should be changed, but not just have both removed. Colin MacLaurin (talk) 07:06, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
