Guards Division over Household Division[edit]

Is there any reason that this Category is called Guards Division and not Household Division? The Guards regiment, of horse and foot are collectively officially the Household Division. See here for one of many examples of its use in an official capacity. Philip.t.day talk 23:13, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Household Division is the collective name for the Guards Division + the Household Cavalry. Both of which have categories. The term Household Division refers to their ceremonial role whereas they also have operational roles as described by their relative current categories. I would say simply add a new category for Household Division and make the two existing cats subcat and this will allow the ceremonial events covered by the two organisations to be listed Kernel Saunters (talk) 09:25, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Brilliant - just seen this and I've added the new category - makes me look like I'm preempting this discussion - which I wasn't Kernel Saunters (talk) 09:43, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
