rename proposal[edit]

"Perpetrators" is a loaded POV word, would "participants" (weak, but less POV) or "architects" (stronger, but possibly not applicable to all) be better? Chris 22:20, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As for participants (rank-and-file killers), there were tens of thousands of them (not to say - hundreds of thousands). The term is used freely, here for example. --HanzoHattori 00:58, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose it all depends - if the holocaust is a crime, then the word "perpetrator" does fit the responsible parties rather well. It's not necessarily a loaded word. Just a thought. 80.63.59.242 (talk) 18:05, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think that participants is a much less of a loaded POV word than perpetrators would be. It would still reflect these individuals roles in the Holocaust, while providing a more neutral term. While I by no means suggest that Holocaust was not a crime, perpetrators suggests that these individuals were convicted of a crime in relation the Holocaust. Some like Reinhard Heydrich who were greatly involved in the Holocaust, were never convicted for their roles and participants would be more fitting Dcraig9 (talk) 02:42, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
