"first published outside the United States..."[edit]
I was very much under the impression that the law was specific on the point that it had to have been first published _in_ the United States before 1923, or if after 1922, then certain spotty exceptions applied here and there but-but-but-but-etc. What is the law and/or case law that applies, btw?...
