Irish people are not the same thing as British people, either now or before 1922. This category should not be added again without consensus. Moonraker (talk) 03:28, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That is a point of Unionism, really. Irish Unionism, was based on Ireland being "British". And the fact that Unionist claim to be British (citizens at least) as opposed to Irish might make this a bit of an issue. Murry1975 (talk) 01:57, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hi moonraker, I've noticed a lot of people being added to this section; what are the criteria you are using/do you have any sources? several of the people I've looked at don't have anything about 'unionist' in their bio. --KarlB (talk) 04:28, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
