Could someone please define what is supposed to be in this category?--Blue Tie (talk) 17:17, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

From looking at the included articles, it appears to include (1) rituals, ordinances, oaths, promises, and other practices that Latter Day Saints carry out or used to carry out in temples; (2) clothing that is worn in temples, (3) laws that Latter Day Saints promise to abide by in temple rituals, and (4) articles about policies that have changed the way temple practices have been carried out.
Probably the reason for the category is that these used to be included in Category:Latter Day Saint temples, but then it was decided that that category itself should include the physical structures known as temples, and a separate category (i.e., this one) can contain articles that are otherwise relevant to temples and what goes on inside them.
These are just my speculative guesses and I don't purport to make my musings the governing definition for the category. Perhaps a more inclusive term could be proposed in a CFD to replace "practices". Snocrates 04:12, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
