The words "beschermd erfgoed" are in dutch. In Wallonia the language is french and the people says "patrimoine protégé", not "beschermd erfgoed". Why not simply use the terms Lists of cultural heritage monuments in Wallonia. We are here in the english speaking wikipedia, or not… (sorry, I'm not english native ;-) --Jmh2o (talk) 15:14, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Quick answer: I am using lists obtained by the Dutch wikipedia from the Belgian Ministry of Culture that refers to Beschermd Erfgoed, and it abbreviates to BE for Belgium. This is one of three legal terms used in Belgium (officially the other two are Bien classé and Kulturdenkmal). The "patrimoine protégé", or cultural heritage of Wallonia (we need an article on this!) covers more than just the Beschermd erfgoed, because it also includes intangible heritage (stories, songs, traditions, and so forth). If you want to contribute, write an article in the language of your choice and then leave me a message so I can try to translate it here. Jane (talk) 12:45, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
