Duplication[edit]

Members of this category overlap with members of Category:Lists of books and Category:Books by author. Something needs to be done. One option is to sort by bibliography, as the header suggests: Category:Bibliography by author and Category:Bibliography by subject might work. —Viriditas | Talk 11:24, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think there's always going to need to be a Category:Lists of books because people will make lists of books based on all sorts of criteria that are going to be hard to classify otherwise. As for replacing the lists of books by author in Category:Literature lists by Category:Bibliography by author, is there a difference between a list of books and a bibliography? As long as Category:Bibliography by author contained articles listing an author's books and not subcategories then I think that would be better then, and should replace Category:Books by author because most authors will probably have books that are not notable enough to get their own article and thus cannot be listed in a Category. I hope that made sense; I'm in a rush and don't have time to edit it. --JeffW 18:24, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. Let me mull it over. I'm just wondering why this wasn't originally done; perhaps there was a reason? —Viriditas | Talk 01:14, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
