I started the category two years ago to show that quite a few LA state politicians ran unsuccessfully for the state Senate, which can be a jumping off point to higher office. I did not include state senators defeated for reelection.Billy Hathorn (talk) 20:17, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
