Category wines[edit]

I mistakenly roll-backed an edit where I actually wanted to give an edit comment, so I write here instead. Given WP:NOWINEGUIDE there are very few articles really belong under Category:Wines (interpreted as individual wines) rather than under any other wine subcategory. Most editors have misapplied the subcategory, which means that when the irrelevant content is removed, so few articles remain that the whole category structure became pointless. I see little point in keeping Category:Wines for the sole purpose of categorizing this category, when it is also part of Category:History of wine and the individual wines in it are also categorized under country or regional wine categories. There are plenty of individual wines, many of which are in say this google cache which you seem to have unilaterally removed. There may well be some that are miscategorised but the answer is to remove these. If you object to the general idea, cfd is the place to go. Occuli (talk) 20:27, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
