Uhh, isn't the name of this category kind of redundant? I mean, are there even any single-player hotseat games? How would that even be possible?

My thoughts also. I'm not going to add this category to game articles.2fort5r (talk) 13:20, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

–Hello. Good Question. The answer is NO, this is not redundant. Multiplayer can be done several different ways. One can be on a net-work, or directly linked to another computer/machine. "Hotseat" implies using the same computer. This also implies playing a turn based game, so only one player has control of the computer during their turn. The cool thing about hotseat is that hotseat is a poor man's multiplayer method. Personally, I use the hotseat games to bond with my sons. I have no real use for non-hotseat games, as I have too many responsibilities in real life. And neither can I afford multiple copies of expensive video games, and multiple high powered, late model computers. Hotseat games are an affordable, and sociable multiplayer gaming solution.
