NorCal's southern border
[edit]There's always a controversy when trying to define the cut-off between north and south, but where did you come up with a definitive line of latitude? I acknowledge the aesthetic appeal of a straight line, but the problem is that it doesn't necessarily reflect how various counties' residents classify themselves. For example, residents of Tulare County do not tend to consider themselves part of "Northern California." From my experience, they identify primarily as "Central California" residents, and if pressed, relate more to Los Angeles than San Francisco. At minimum, this classification should not state the definition as fact but should instead mention that there is no universally accepted cut-off line. ferretstew (talk) 20:13, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- See the definitions in the existing articles of Northern California and Southern California and discuss it there. This is not new and I didn't come up with it. It is the discussed and accepted definition on Wikipedia. Ikluft (talk) 20:56, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
