More on Missing names==[edit]

The decision to use Wikipedia entries as the criterion for O.B.E. listing on the O.B.E. Wikipedia page seems unduly restrictive and counterproductive. Surely there is a more inclusive list available from UK government sources. My father, Colonel Frederick Charles Bothwell Jr. (West Point '36, USAAF, 15th Air Force, SHAEF)was awarded the O.B.E. (Mil) following WWII in recognition of his joint service with the RAF. He and RAF colleagues were flown from Bari into Yugoslavia to negotiate with Tito partisans to assure the repatriation of allied bomber crews who crash landed in that country upon completion of bombing raids on the axis controlled oil fields in Romania. The presence of Ustasi (Nazi sympathizer) and Royalist forces in the area made the mission quite hazardous. Although he was my father, I doubt that he would feel entitled to a Wikipedia entry on his own - and given my advanced age (I'm nearly 71) and technological limitations I'm doubtful that I could do an adequate job of creating one! Can you not find a more authoritative source that Wikipedia to document O.B.E. awards?
