Is this necessary?[edit]

I'm trying to be a better Wikipedian, which is why I added this page to my watchlist, but is this whole thing necessary? The Template really seems very ambiguous to me, most of the articles don't even have a real comment on a talk page to explain just what needs to be done. Wouldn't the clean-up template or stub template be better? Dessydes 00:03, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The tag serves a difference purpose than the cleanup tag; they are to let the reader know that it's in active construction and that someone (probably the person who placed the tag) will add more information soon. The readers can add information if they want, but they don't need to. --Nlu (talk) 02:32, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, some editors have started using this template to keep really awful articles from being deleted. It would be wonderful if there was a way (like the prod template) to see which articles have been tagged with this for more than, say, 10 days. --Fabrictramp 18:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
