Pastoral opera: a new opera category[edit]

This is a new opera category. Would it be possible to underpin it with an article and sources? - Kleinzach 20:00, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lacks[edit]

I think the pastoral opera was a typical genre of baroque art. In fact during modern age they followed the tripartion of the so-called Vergil's Wheel (really the ancient Greek classification of drama): tragedy, comedy and pastoral drama. The tripartition was followed in both prose and opera theatre. I wish to put other pastoral operas, but I'm not able to. "Orfeo and Euridice" by Gluck, "Aminta", and so on.
