Additions[edit]

I'd say that Syd Barrett should be added to this list. While it's true that the later incarnation of Pink Floyd was maligned by early punk, Barrett era Floyd was supposedlly somewhat influential. At least two punk bands (The Sex Pistols and The Damned) wanted Barrett to produce their albums. Furthermore, other Proto-Punk legends such as Brian Eno and David Bowie expressed interest in working with him. I would've added him in myself, but the edit box for the article doesn't seem to have anyway for me to add to it (as you can probably tell, I'm a bit new at this.)(edit:I figured out how to do it.)Timothyreal 06:29, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

this list is dangerously large[edit]

syd barrett? are you kidding? pre-punk only expands to a musical style there, buddy. for very many of the artists here, i just can't determine the similarities.
