This cat should not be used for those who don't run for office, nor for those who don't finish close to the winner: they may be candidates and activists, but are not politicians.

They could be in Category:UK RESPECT party candidates if it existed or, if not, in Category:UK RESPECT party activists (which should be a subcat of the other, if they both exist).

On the contrary, it should include these people: according to Wikipedia's own definitions of what constitutes a politician it is someone "who is active in party politics". Therefore a RESPECT party anything is a politician. Hope this helps. Driller thriller 21:54, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
