Notice about the term "Scotch-Irish"

[edit]

Technically, the term should be "Scots-Irish". Granted that, historically, "Scotch-Irish" was used almost exclusively. But in recent decades "scotch" has been used only for the beverage; all references to the people from Scotland are called "Scots". I realize that changing all references would be a big chore, but I'm hoping the Powers-That-Be will have some method to do it automatically... KLinch (talk) 15:39, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
