The history of the "kip" is in error in that before she sailed to Newfoundland (st. John's) for varios harbour tasks she saw service "down river" from Quebec City examing incoming and outgoing vessels for among other things - alians and contraband.
I know that nthis is factual in that I joined her in Auguat 1941 as the Wireless operator operating out St. Jean on the Isle de Orlean. Sometime before "freeze up" we sailed dto St.john's via the St. Lawrence, Northumberland strights, gut of Canso and the Bras'Dor lakes across the Gulf and hugged the shore of Newfoundland to St. John's. Not a pleasant journey !

I visited the "Kip" in the mid ninties and spoke with the local historian about my connection. At that time it seems they were having trouble having the RCN show that she was ever commissioned.
