The Central District of Khamir County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان خمیر) is in Hormozgan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Bandar Khamir.

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 35,917 in 7,645 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 39,119 people in 9,668 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 41,821 inhabitants in 11,757 households.[2]

After the 2016 census, the village of Pol-e Sharqi merged with the village of Pol-e Angur to become the city of Pol.[5] Kahurestan Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Kahurestan District, which included the newly formed Latidan Rural District. In addition, Keshar Rural District was established in the Central District.[6]
