Chaudhary Badan Singh (15 January 1925 – 1 December 2022) was a distinguished Indian freedom fighter, educator, politician, and writer from Uttar Pradesh. He was fondly known as the “Bhishma Pitamah of Indian Politics” for his profound influence and significant contributions to public life, literature, and governance. Chaudhary Badan Singh was an Indian politician and author who served as the Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly for five terms, representing Fatehpur Sikri constituency in Uttar Pradesh.[1] He was a disciple of Charan Singh, 5th prime minister of India and also known for his contribution to Braj literature.[1]
His works, particularly in Braj Bhasha, showcase his literary prowess. His book Braj Ke Byah Geet contains 170 traditional wedding songs, reflecting the cultural heritage of Braj. [2][3][4]

[edit]1. 7th Vidhan Sabha (1977–1980): Elected as an MLA representing the Janata Party during the post-Emergency elections.
2. 8th Vidhan Sabha (1980–1985): Re-elected as an MLA under the Janata Party.
3. 9th Vidhan Sabha (1985–1989): Served as an MLA representing the Lok Dal.
4. 10th Vidhan Sabha (1989–1991): Re-elected as an MLA representing the Janata Dal.
5. 12th Vidhan Sabha (1993–1996): Won the election as an MLA under the Bharatiya Janata Party
