Details

[edit]

Similar to the format of C-SPAN, CPAC, BBC Parliament, Phoenix, Sky News Extra, Vouli Tileorasi, and TVP Parlament, Congress TV primarily airs live plenary sessions, committee hearings and other House of Representatives-produced content on digital television.[1]

It was launched on January 22, 2024, and initially broadcast on digital terrestrial television (DTT) via PTV digital subchannel 14.02 in Metro Manila, 42.02 in Metro Cebu, 45.03 in Metro Davao, Channel 2 in ABS-CBN TV Plus and Channel 10 in GMA Affordabox, Sulit TV, other digital boxes, and digital-ready TV sets. It is also available through PTV, IBC, and HoR's social media accounts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (PST) daily, with extended hours if needed.[2][3]

On October 1, 2024, Congress TV commenced broadcast on channel 17 in Metro Manila, Cebu and Iloilo via IBC's DTT network, becoming its second subchannel. At the same time, selected Congress TV programming is simulcast on IBC's analog TV network.

On November 1, 2024, the channel commenced broadcast on Sky Cable.

The channel ceased broadcast on PTV Digital Channel 14 on November 17, 2024, and was replaced by the mirror feed of the main PTV channel. It continued broadcast on IBC DTT Channel 17, Converge Vision and Sky Cable.
