Dale Planck (July 16, 1970) is a retired American Dirt Modified racing driver, credited with 197 career wins at tracks in the Mid-Atlantic (United States).[1]
Racing career[edit]
Dale Planck began his racing career in 1985 in a 4-cylinder mini-mod at Dundee Speedway NY and by 1988 he had moved to the 358-modified class.[1] He was soon competing successfully at the toughest venues in the Northeast, including Afton Park Speedway NY, Big Diamond Speedway in Pottsville PA, Brewerton Speedway NY, Canandaigua Speedway NY, Hagerstown Speedway MD, Kutztown Speedway PA, Merrittville Speedway ON, Orange County Fair Speedway NY, Rolling Wheels Raceway NY, the Syracuse Mile NY, and the Weedsport Speedway NY.[2][3][4][5][6]
Planck won the first of three consecutive NASCAR regional modified championships in 1994, and was the Mr. Dirt 358-modified titlist in 2012. Along the way, he claimed track championships at Fulton Speedway NY and Utica-Rome Speedway NY.[7][8][9]
Dale Planck was inducted into the New York State Stock Car Association Hall of Fame in 2024.[10]
