Dilip Mitra (22nd February 1922 – 27th March 1993)[1] was an Indian swimmer.[2] He competed in the men's 100 metre freestyle at the 1948 Summer Olympics.[3]

He serve as the Coach of INDIAN WATER POLO Team in 1970 Asian Games.

He served Swimming Federation of India (SFI) as Life President (1990 - 1993), President (1982 - 1990), Secretary General (1979 - 1982). He was also the Vice president of Asian Swimming Federation and Indian Olympic Association.
