Donavan Glenlee Freeman (born August 14, 2005) is a Bahamian college basketball player for the Syracuse Orange of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Early life and high school

Freeman was born in The Bahamas and moved to the states as a kid. He grew up in Washington, D.C. and initially attended St. John's College High School.[1] He averaged 21 points and 8.5 rebounds per game as a junior.[2] Freeman transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida before the start of his senior year.[3] Freeman was selected to play in the 2024 McDonald's All-American Boys Game during his senior year.[4]

Recruiting

Freeman is considered a top-50 prospect in the 2024 class.[5] He committed to play college basketball at Syracuse over offers from Alabama, Texas, Iowa, and Georgia Tech shortly after the conclusion of his junior year of high school.[6] Freeman was re-rated a five-star recruit by ESPN during his senior season.[7]

National Team Career

On May 13, 2024, Freeman was selected to play for Bahamas in the Olympic qualifying tournament.[8]
