On February 14, 1945, the President of the United States Franklin Roosevelt and the King of Saudi Arabia Abdul-Aziz had a historic meeting on board the U.S. Naval ship the USS Quincy on the Great Bitter Lake of the Suez Canal in Egypt. It was the first time the King had left Saudi Arabia.[1]
