The 2026 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (2026 WJC) will be the 50th Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. It will begin on December 26, 2025, and will end with the gold medal game being played on January 5, 2026. On January 5, 2024, it was announced that Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota would host the tournament.[1]
Background[edit]
The tournament will return to Minnesota for the first time since 1982 and to the Twin Cities for the first time. The games will be held at Xcel Energy Center, the home of the Minnesota Wild, and 3M Arena at Mariucci, the home of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
