"A sangue freddo" (pronounced [a ˈ(s)san.ɡwe ˈfred.do], Italian: "cold-bloodedly") is a song by Italian noise rock band Il Teatro degli Orrori. It was released in 2009 as their debut single, from their second eponymous album.
The song is dedicated to Nigerian poet, writer and activist Ken Saro Wiwa, who was executed in 1995 with false accuses – the real reasons being his fight for human rights and his battle within the environmental issues caused by multinationals (in particular, Shell).[1][2][3][4][5][6]
The lyrics also include a reference to the song "Pablo" by Italian singer-songwriter Francesco De Gregori ("hanno ammazzato Ken Saro Wiwa: Saro Wiwa è ancora vivo").[a][1]
It is considered one of the band's best-known songs.
